Who we are

Lion was founded by Ariella Maron in 2017. Ariella, whose name is Hebrew for lioness, has always been interested in the intersection of land use, infrastructure, technology, design, and policy. She brings expertise in each of these areas from her time in government and the private sector analyzing, planning, and implementing initiatives that enhance the vibrancy, sustainability, and resilience of neighborhoods and cities.

Why we do it

To protect the health of communities and the economy, we need to transition away from fossil fuel use, reduce emissions of harmful pollutants, and prepare for a changing climate. Today's institutions, regulations, and markets, however, make this too challenging for many to take action. We're here to help overcome those barriers and bring upon the change necessary to support their efforts and scale up their impact.
